Two student teams of the Belarusian State University will compete against Harvard and Stanford Law students at Jessup 2017

The final trial of 2017 Belarusian National Rounds of Jessup Moot Court Competition defined two winning teams – the teams of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University.

At the end of the speech competition the jury gave preference to the Law Faculty of BSU. At the same time the students of the Faculty of International Relations were excellent in written test and their introductory speech. The jury decided that both BSU teams will perform at the Jessup Moot Court Competition in April 2017 in Washington (USA).

BSU student teams coaches are Assistant Professor of the International Law department Elena Konnova and fifth-year student of the Faculty of International Relations Elizaveta Tarasevich, as well as the lecturer of the Department of Management of the Law Faculty Ksenia Laputko.
The final national round gathered the teams from the Belarusian State University as well as teams from Brest State University, Mogilev State University, Grodno State University and Polotsk State University.
The Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the oldest and largest international moot competition in the world, attracting participants from almost 700 law schools, including Harvard, Oxford and Stanford, in more than 90 countries in recent years.
